One Hundred Questions and Answers about GES-2. Architecture

A journey through the House of Culture with games and activities.

One Hundred Questions and Answers about GES-2 is a new activity book series from V–A–C Press’ children’s publishing program, dedicated to various aspects of life and the structure of the House of Culture. The first installment, designed to introduce young readers to the architecture of GES-2, weaves together history, games, and creative challenges to bring the building to life. Inside, readers will discover a wide range of activities—including mazes, rebuses, crosswords, drawing tasks, attention exercises, and imagination challenges—all while learning about arches, trusses, the meaning of the color white, and how the House of Culture functions as a miniature city.

GES-2 is more than just a building. It’s a living organism! It wakes up in the morning and rests at night. When the weather is gloomy, it frowns in quiet sadness; when the sun comes out, it beams with joy. It hums and murmurs with energy, thanks to the people who walk through its doors. And that includes you—every visitor helps bring the House of Culture to life.

Architecture plays a key role in defining GES-2’s identity, reflecting the past, present, and future within its walls. By exploring the principles behind its transformation—from a historic power station into a modern House of Culture—this book offers a deeper understanding of how the space “lives” today.
