The Monty Python Film Marathon. Comedy Scriptwriting Workshop. Open Call
The two-day workshop is held within the Monty Python film marathon (as part of the Extraordinary Series). It will be delivered online by a professional scriptwriter and director Chris Shepherd. Chris is a double BAFTA nominated multi award winning television/film writer. He has worked on many comedy programmes and films for BBC, Channel 4, Arte and Canal+.
The workshop is aimed at screenwriters or people who have an understanding of the film industry and experience of screenwriting for film and television. Chris Shepherd will share his experience of working in the industry and will give an outlook of the current situation in the sector in the UK. Participants will find out about the instruments, methods and techniques he uses and will learn the difference between comedy and other genres. They will be able to practice in preparing a perfect pitch for their script as well. Practical exercises during the workshop will be complemented by homework assignments.
The workshop will be held in English without translation.

Conditions for participation
he workshop is intended for people over the age of 18 with a good knowledge of the English language (Upper-Intermediate or higher).
You must be a professional animator or illustrator and have eхperience of working in Photoshop.
You must have a drawing tablet and Photoshop CC 2018 or above.
You are committed to attend both days of the workshop and have clear understanding of why you need to participate.
